Model of Hybrid Electric Vehicle with Two Energy Sources

The paper proposes a Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) design based on the installation of fuel cell (FC) module in existing Daewoo Tico electric vehicle to increase its range urban areas. Installing an FC supplied by 2 kg hydrogen tank would not significantly mass vehicle, and charging time is lower than battery time. For analysis, model was created MATLAB/Simulink software package. simulates at different HEV speeds for Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) power sources. greatest anticipated benefit derived from analysis relates velocities ranging 20 km/h 30 km/h, although optimal velocity area 40 km/h. results indicate that this conversion (EV) bring 87.4% terms Therefore, result case with sub-optimal characteristics, which are nevertheless very close optimal.
